Glory

Near the Arkansas border in Missouri is a wonderful place. It’s a place that is filled with incredible natural beauty. It is peaceful, it is still, and it moves my spirit as further proof of the existence of God. But as you wind your way down the paths of this gorgeous place, and eventually cross over the Arkansas border, it gets a little more wild. Deer, elk and buffalo (including one that looks like Elvis – no joke) roam freely over the open plain above the Ozarks. One of the most amazing places in Dogwood Canyon Nature Park is a beautiful pond called Glory Hole. Although some may think it is unfortunately named, it is indeed glorious. I don’t know if the park rules allow people swim in it, but it sure does look refreshing on a hot summer day!
